October 19, 2006 Dubai, UAE - ESPN, Inc. and XXX announced today the return of ESPN X Games Dubai 2006 presented by XXX to be held in the United Arab Emirates, with an exhibition featuring the world’s top action sports athletes. Since last year’s event drew approximately 23,000 action sports enthusiasts, city officials, XXX and ESPN are supporting the event’s return. X Games Dubai is scheduled to be held December 1-3, 2006 in Dubai Creek Park, the United Arab Emirates’ second largest park, the event is free. Performances will be held on the vert ramp with Aggressive In-line Skate, BMX, Skateboard, and The Moto X ramps will be visited by the world’s leading riders. There is a small fee to enter Dubai Creek Park.

“The X Games in Dubai last year introduced action sports to a new market which has subsequently grown following the event’s huge success. So yesterday I went to Thirst whatever 2006!!!

Very good organization I have to say, nice crowd, lovely lady's, some jerk drunk guys and some good and bad sounds!

To resume:

2manydj's - Those guys are awesone!!!!! The level of their set yesterday was again above everything common... They've mixed the Stones, Madonna, 80's, 90's stuff so well that when they finished I was jumping to the sky!!! Such a groovy, "pointu", different, rock-electro kind of set!!! Just fantastic!!!! Come back when ever you want!!!!

Groove Armada - Well the most stupid live act I ever seen!!!! 2 guys, 1 drum and a MC!! First the MC was the worst I ever heard!!!! Common guy where did you find him, he killed your set with his gimmicks that were just awful on your sound!!!
Then you guys, what was the purpose of your set? It was slow, very very easy kind of style (Too easy!!!), something like a house that you hear at 7am or pm before or after the party!!! There was no energy at all and people got bored!!! To be honest I have seen a lot of Live or DJ set and yours was just the worst I ever seen!!! Ok it is probably due to your crappy MC but after the power of 2manydjs djiing a set like yours, no way!!!

Overall a good party due to the place, 2 many dj's, the smile of this girl, the organisation and 2 many dj's!!!

And for the last owrd, groove armada, kill your MC!!!!

Time Out 5th Anniversary...

Well I don't know if I will say a lot of thing about this birthday because Time Out has done nothing to make it good!!!

Well I arrived at something like 8 last night to 360 where 2-3 hostess (not the most sexiest I ever seen) were checking the name. Gave mine, no you are not there but as you come from ******* you can enter!

What's the f**** I am on this F***** guest list however... Go up, hello blondy and hop grab some Champaign and you refill, and you refill, and you refill than you go inside the bar and you refill and you refill and then you ask where is the Champaign???

There is no more sir... What??? It's only 10!!!! Ok well, 2 hours of Champaign for a birthday... I was upset, so I even grab the last girl who had a glass but without any result...

And the entertainement there? Nothing just a bunch of people drinking and discussing about the construction...

Then we say ok let's go to the club itself and there? 1 free drink with your badge before midnight! What???? No "Carre VIP" with free Champaign???

Ok let's take 2 jacks daniel on the house and a long Island on my credit card, try to grab the number of the champaign lady and then straight to a Cab!!!

I had others thing to do than to pay for drinks when I am supposed to be a VIP!!!

Well it's the last days before Ramadan so I have to party as much as possible so let's start tomorrow with the Time OUt 5th Anniversary at The Jumeirah "Tour Operator" Beach hotel... Ex guy from Underworld will be there spinning around (Is it proper English for Mixing?), VIP Pass I have so let's get hammered at the open bar!!!

I will even try to take some pics for you with my shitty cam (if I don't forget it) so keep posted ...

However with the ramadan coming I will have to think about thing to say...

H&M

Hennes and Mauritz (L'ane et maurice en French???) is finally opened in Dubai... It opened yesterday (I think, but I was not invited, normal, nobody really email me dacize@gmail.com) and it is a big news (Who said no???) !

Well not that I am a big fan of H&M but I do have to say that if you are looking for some "Buy it, Wear it, Throw it" clothes it is fantastic! It might also provide the possibility for Dubai to have the most fashionable construction workers on earth (Just kidding)!!!

In fact H&M provide some good copies of some fantastic brands and I do have to say that seeing the 10deep chain something hoodie change in a Lolita T-shirt was a good fun... Stuff, there, is not my cup of tea most of the time but at least there are only doing a few mistake in their selection

Overall it might change a bit the fashion scene of Dubai because now very cheap trendy stuff is available and maybe the beautiful ladies that you see here will be less stressed!!
Yeah, they won't have to be afraid of killing their Chloe or Dior outfit when dancing like crazy at the Apartment or Trilogy because it won't be Balanciaga or Stella Mc Cartney but H&M!

Guys for you just don't go for the total look and pay attention...

So I hope that H&M will save Dubai... (See the shops at Mall of and IBN)

Yesterday I was at the Miss Moneypenny's party @ the Apartment Club and Lounge and I do have to say that it was Very very nice !!!

The night before I was at the same club and I felt like: What a joke! But yesterday was so glamourous and sexy that excuse me but:

It was the hottest night I had in Dubai!!

Ok some guys and girls were quite rude (Eh lady why did you pushed me like that when your friend get to close to me??? Guys stop thinking that you are alone on the dancefloor and leave some space) but overall the sound was so good that I couldn't stop mooving!!!!

A very poshee night as usual in Dubai and of course not a very communicative and friendly bunch of people but there was so many sexy lady that this evening was very nice...

If I have to promote it I would do it...

This afternoon i was surfing the web to see what is really going on with some project and I've found the most interesting website about it!

It is the website of Jumeirah Beach Residence!

Technicly it is quite ok, nothing fancy, just ok... but look at the construction status part than click on 1 camera of the map and you will see the trucks going left and right!!

Personnaly I was thinking, is it the best way to sell your project, to show the construction status and how high is everything??? I don't know, however have a look at it, it's just amazing!!!

Well mr Pharell aka "The hypest man on hearth" (To remember, producer of various artist like Justin Timbarlake, Bape addict as a good friend of Mr Nigo, Featuring with Snoop, Mariah Carey and part of the famous NERD) is now the top model of the famous luxury brand LOUIS VUITTON!

So here is the question, why LV that is one of the top top top brand is looking for the street or the hype credibility that might give Mr Pharell??

Is the street culture the next luxury? I let you answer this question however don't forget to work hard if you want to wear LV gear!!!!

Today I was working and travelling in one hotel gallery and I was looking around me and I saw everybody in corporate suits with a touch of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi or whatever... Well everybody is just the same with its own part of accessories from a luxurious brand!!

When Europe, the States, Japan and Hong Kong are just getting crazy about custom and vintage Dubai is just going to mass consumption of luxury goods??

But is it luxury to wear the same outfit as everybody? Why the fashion in Dubai is so mainstream fashion? Ladies (and men) why the LV and the green and red color attract you so much??

All this to say why I can't find one shop to buy the Air Jordan IV Fire Red Mars edition in Dubai???? Why can't I find T-Shirt from Futura or some small labels??? Why can't I find the Adidas crooked tongues??? why???

Why Dubai is so corporate and so traditionnal in his way of beeing dressed?

I don't know...

I love cars... so I like Dubai!!!

In 3 days I have seen 2 of the most expensive car in the world at a finger distance! A Merc SLR and a Porsche Carrera GT! Here everybody will say: "well nothing special" but don't forget that for million of people it would be a dream....

I was at Sun and Sand sport tonight at the City center and they have some good prices on 2-3 types of Air180, a good airmax 95 burgundy/grey and the Air Jordan XXI is at 480 dhm so it is a very good price!!!!! Don't hesitate to cope them it looks like nobody jump on them...

At Burjuman Nike shop they have the Air Stab for approx 300dhm so jump on it!!!

And don't forget the part sale at Rage Mall Of where you will find a nice selection of New Era cap for around 105dhm if I remember well....

Week end story...

Well the public sector has decided to have a 2 days week end on Friday on Saturday instead of Thursday Friday, that's good! But when you know that most of the people have 2 days off and the rest only have 1 days off you are asking yourself why?

So now they are thinking to give everybody 2 days off, private or public sector! i hope that it will happen and the rumor says at it will be announced in August!

Well tonight I escape from work and I decided to moove my ass and went to Shity Center for a golden arch dinner...

Usually when I go there I go to Sun and Sands (Check if they receive things as sometimes they've got good stuff like 360 evolution air pack, Air180 goretex and Jordan XXI...), to a strange shop with some GGGReleases last series and sometimes to the Adidas store...

Well some sort of surfing look like yes... Bodyboarding? look like I will be like I was with my bussy Yaya in Biarritz!!! Complaining that it's not strong enough...

Whatever, next week maybe Abu Dhabi for some wake board with the french mafia there, we will see??

I need help!!!!

Ok I am in Dubai for approximatly 4 month now and I started this blog to find out what was the sneakers and street scene in Dubai but I am stock !!

I do have to say that I work a lot and it explains also why I didn't get time to look deeper into Dubai... The thing is that for the moment I don't know what to put in the blog regarding Dubai!!!

Last week I was at the Jazz festival it was very nice but I didn't take so many pictures because I was invited in a "VIP" lounge! Not so funny...

Karting, Salsa and wakeboard....

Youpi les amis!!! This weekend is finishing and it was a good one!!! Maybe a bit sad too? But good in regards of the activity in Dubai!!

So to start yesterday I've been to the autodrome for some karting (Thanks David and Benoit) ... It was the first time and it is very funny! You don't have to be Fernando Alonso to like it but very fast you're able to slide and see the guy behind you arriving in front of you... Well it is easy to do a 180degree with the kart ;) for the 360 I will try next time...

Well go for it as it about 100dirham for 15 minutes of real fun and it is also good for your health (you will understand next time you go!).

Then, because Dubai never stop, I've been to el Malicon (Forgot the name a bit, so it might be different) at Dubai Marine. It is THE SPOT of some friend and it is a salsa, latino american kind of bar/club...
Even if the doorman thought what he thought (He couldn't smile to me!) it is a nice bar with a live band (The singer are mooving terribly well!!!) a Dj (His style was not the best) and a mixed public...
The atmosphear there is latino (Who say normal?) but with a taste of reality as the people (Some of them) know how to dance there (Not my case) or some are from Argentina, Brasil, Colombia...
If you are on a latino mood (with some kind of reggaeton feelings) I am quite sure you will like the place...
And it is not so pricey (36dhm for a long island ice tea it is ok for Dubai!)...

That was for last night...

Today like every, nearly every friday I've been wakeboarding... It was a bit sad because I am not for a long time in Dubai and the place where I'm going is already closing...
The DWSA will close next week, so the sunbathing, watching the girls during 3 hours before my run in a surrounding of grass and boat, is a dead story now...
We will see next week how it will be with the wakeboardschool.com as they will continue to exist but at the marina near the golf (where will i be able to sunbath me???)...

That is it for the weekend... It was a nice one and as a result of it now I want to go karting, wakeboarding and maybe learn how to dance salsa all day now!?!?

Well some few words to say that I have nothing new to say for the moment... I am still questionning myself on the Nike "History of Air" story and I am waiting for my AF1 Year of the dog (Happy new year to all Chinese readers!!)

Regarding Dubai well it looks like nothing really special is happening there! Yesterday I've been to Arabian Ranches for a nice cross country races!! It is a very nice and quiet place it was very pleasant!!!

And then I've been snowboarding at Ski Dubai... It is quiet good actually! I like it but as my camera run down I have no picture to show you...

Nike Air Force One Untold Truth

Here comes my new baby directly from Taiwan!

The Air Force One from the "Untold truth" series that have a link to the negro leagues in the pre WW2 time...

It is a premium series from Nike so it is made with very good leather and the packaging is really nice!

Wakeboard in Dubai...

Well this week with the Eid holidays plus the weekend I've been 3 times to the Dubai water skiing and wakeboard club in the creek!!!

The atmosphear there and the site is quite nice, just closed to the bird sanctuary... I've been wakeboarding in Dubai for the first time in 3 month and was quite happy to find a good club with nice staff and good boat here!

The bad point is that they might be closing at the end of this month and it looks like there is no alternative, or no real one (Hotel ride is just too expensive and can't be so friendly) to it in Dubai!

So if someone who can do something is reading my blog please find a new site for the Dubai watersport Association (DWSA)!

Or please provide me (us) an alternative to do wakeboard and waterskiing (Not too expensive and with a nice and glossy lake) in Dubai as I (we) won't be able to do my (our) favorite hobby in this nice town if no club are existing anymore!

Please Dubai, do something for the waterskiing and wakeboarding community in Dubai!!!

A Tribute to Paris...

Hi let's start the year with what is the main purpose of the blog, the SNEAKERS!!!

So to start well, let's have a view of what is for me one of the hottest pair of 2005, the Air Max 180 made by Nike in collaboration with the Opium Shop from Paris (The best Nike spot in the French Capital)

And in the inside sole the Paris name everywhere....




The sneakers come with some extra yellow lace and for the release in Opium shop the was some goodies... And windbraker jacket and a special box!!!
I love the desert storm camo at the back!!!

A Sad day...

Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum dies yesterday...

I am not in Dubai for a long time but I know what this great man has done for the Emirate so it is a great loss for the community. Dubai will miss you...

Rest in Peace!
