Art and General Museum and an Opera House in Dubai

This morning I was reading gulfnews.com and I saw this news:

"General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum yesterday ordered the construction of an opera house, general and arts museums in Dubai."

The Opera House will be build on an man made island in the middle of the creek with a seating capacity of 2500pax (+ libraries on music and culture, a music school, indoor and outdoor theatres, art galleries, a reception, ballet halls, a private jetty, a hotel and service and entertainment facilities.) on 3 Million sqm!!!!

This Opera and Museum will help to provide new excitment to the town and I hope the modern art will have its space so it is a good news overall!!

Roni Size!!!!

Well I do have to give a enormous THANK YOU to IBO's and to a guy named Mike there!!!

The DJ Set from Roni Size on the 22nd was ENORMOUS!!!! Well I couldn't stop dancing and Oulalala Dynamite MC was also a big big big thing there!!!

I hope this club will continue on this basis as it was great to have such a Dj in the place!!! My shirt is still wet from this party so I don't know what else to say, just thanks to IBO's, Roni Size and Dynamite MC for this big party just before Xmas!!!

And I hope that Armand Van Helden on the 30th at Trilogy and FatBoySlim (with NENEH CHERY!!!!) on the 5th will be at the same level!!!!

X Games and more...

So yesterday it was the X Games in Dubai creek park! It was a really good time and a very good show!!

The last show that I've seen at this level was the Bones Brigade back in 199something... Anyway it was great and as soon as I will have my internet connection set at home I will show you the best pics I have!

On a club date put the 22nd of December on your agenda as Mr Roni Size is coming and it's gonna be ENORMOUS!!!! He is the pope of Drum&Bass and I won't miss it!!!

Regarding Missy and Busta concert I hope it was a good one as I wasn't there as I'am still waiting for my paper to be done to be able to travel more in the city and provide you live pics!!!

From the 7 to the 9th of December at the Dubai Creek Park (small entrance fee to the Park /Free for the show) :

Don't miss the Dubai X Games with Skateboard, MX, In Line and BMX!!! Some great players like Sandro Dias in Skateboard will be there!!!

My favourite Sneakers

So to start talking about sneakers I will present you a part of my personnal taste with some of the few models of sneakers that make some of my days when I see them:


The Nike Air Max 1 that was launch in 1987 by Nike... It is the first running shoes from Nike with the Air Bubble that can be seen from outside...












The Nike Air Force One that was launch in 1982 by Nike... It is the first basketball shoes from Nike with the Air System...












The Nike Spiridon from 1996/97... simply beautiful













So as you can see I am mostly in a Nike mood but beautiful sneakers stay beautiful and Adidas, Vans, Saucony, JB Classics, DC Shoes, Onitsuka Tiger are also some famous brand that I keep looking after...

I just arrive in Dubai about 15 days ago, I am French and I have a big hobby:

SNEAKERS!!!!!!!

As I don't know much about the sneakers scene in Dubai I will try to discover it with you and will share my adventures in this crazy town!
