On saturday I was invited (Finally!!!!!!!) to the launch of the new Mini and I have to say that 9714 crew has done a fantastic job!

Shakira was a joke!

ng eWell what to say? Dubai is trying hard to be New York, Paris or Tokyo but for a concert it ends up in a total Chaos!

To summurize I decided to go and see Shakira because:
- not so many 'big" gig happen here and I like music overall,
- the wife of my man Mat, Mrs Malex is Colombian like Shakira,
- Shakira can do an interesting show in the Middle east as she is half Lebanese...

But the following did arrive... let's go back to Friday!

It started with my usual Friday Omelette! So good hummmm

Then slowly the spot became the Consulate of Columbia

Our girl Malex was representing Colombia and taking the colourz of her country pretty high on Sheik Zayed Road (and if you look well Shakira is seating behind her LOL)!


But in between I had to leave my camera at the entrance due to... I don't know why in fact... So we had a couple of drinks, we enjoy the grass area in the middle of the desert at the Autodrome and so on...

Then came the concert... tintin... 1 hour late fair enough... BUT 1Hour and 10min long!!!!!! That's it!!!! Come on guys I pay so much money for 1 hour and 10 min? It's a joke!!!

Anyway it was ok, very very? Very what? I don't know... Yeap very fast!
Ok she is singing well and she is mooving hummmmmmm ... nothing else to say...

But then we had to wait 45minutes to go out of the concert area in order to go and pick up our cameras and it was the beginning of the total chaos!!!


You see the crowd on the pics upstairs? they were waiting for the camera and you know what the attendants were doing?

They were shouting the number of the camera they were picking up from their box! But you couldn't understand them! Chaos!

Hopefully for me the two crazy girls fight enough to get my camera back (I'm still waiting for a gift from Panasonic or Canon by the way!)

And then we had to look for a way to go home and it tooks us about 1h30!


PIcs are not clear because I was not really clear about what to think! Not that I was drunk! I didn't drink at all! I was just really upset of the bad organisation....

Back to last Friday...

Last Friday was what we can call a Rainy day in Dubai even if there was no rain... Just have look!

By the way you will not see me there first because it's Tuesday and some people work the day after and then because 125AED IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE

Yesterday all Dubai's people that had to go to work discover that Dubai was even more on fire than usually!

Yeap true on Sheik Zayed Road a party was so hot that they start singing!

The roof, the roof, the roof is On FIRE!!!!

The Palm was asking what happen?

So the cops and ambulance arrive to have a look!


But the party was going on!



Well hopefully nobody got injured! Don't do that to often! Dubai is hot but not this way ;)

Surfer's beach is closed!

What a pity for Dubai! The most glamourous beach in Dubai is closed so Dubai will never be RIO...

Dubai: Zabeel Investments has begun work on a new 4.5 million square foot coastal development on Jumeirah Beach in Umm Suqeim, a company statement said.

"The unique mixed-use development will comprise residential, commercial and hospitality facilities reflecting a beachfront lifestyle," it said.

Located on the prestigious stretch in Umm Suqeim, the development will cover both existing and reclaimed land and will overlook the Burj Al Arab located just down the coast.

"We are in the early stages of this development and will shortly announce details of the project when finalised," Mohammad Ali Al Hashimi, executive chairman of Zabeel Investments, said.

"We have appointed a renowned master planner and architect who is putting together final touches to plans that will be one of the best that Dubai has seen."

The development will add to the existing beachside environment, which is synonymous with new developments in the UAE.

"The new project will further extend Dubai's coastline and provide additional opportunities for the beachfront lifestyle," Hash-imi said.

Zabeel Investments has interests spanning private equity and asset management in the GCC and other markets. Its first project, Tiara Residence, is under construction on the Palm Jumeirah island.

Dubai Waterfront centre...

Yes right I Adidas Dubai... T-shirt found at the Adidas heritage shop at Dubai Waterfront Centre (yeap open!), nice manager (Even if he didn't let me take any pics) and a very good setup... go to visit it...

The biggest mistake in this mall... The king Cantona is looking at Toti with the 2006 world cup! Hopefully for Toti it's a pic! ;)

The mall is really not finished, 50% of the shop are done but the potential is there and don't forget the Paul Frank and Weston shop they worth the visit ( in addition to Adidas Heritage of course)...
